I'm not going to use the Dolphin Bar because I'm streaming from PC to living room. I need a new wireless sensor bar.. The one I have now drains battery way too fast, and it doesn't have an auto shut off function like the Wii U version has.. Can I use the "Ultra Wireless Sensor Bar" made for the Wii U, in Dolphin? I read somewhere that you might need to own a Wii U, and have that console active in order for the sensor bar to start up..?

Yes.

If the sensor bar connects to a Wii or Wii U via the sensor bar port, then yes, the sensor bar will only be on when the console is active. If it connects via USB, it will be on as long as it's connected to anything that can give it power, which includes PCs. If it doesn't connect using any wire at all (which seems to be the case for this one), you can turn it on regardless of any console or PC.
