Hi everyone,

I've Mario up and running at blistering FPS if I choose but I'm having some trouble getting my controls working.

The box to uncheck "Wiimote On" is grayed out and I suspect it's messing up my game, including numerous freezes.

I'm using an 360 wireless controller and xpadder as there seems to be no auto-controller map, at least, that works for me.

Thanks for any help,

Neesh

What OS are you using? Symptoms sound similar to my problem¹. For me this checkbox is greayed out as well, never really thought about it.

I have Vista Ultimate x64. In game, I still get the Wiimote prompts (shake and such).

Also, I get the Wiimote sync error which lead to freezes.

I desperately need help with control mapping. I can't seem to figure out a solution.

Since Dolphin won't let me uncheck Wiimote use, I have to map keyboard keys to the Wiimote, then use xpadder to use my 360 controller. Yet, the controls will freeze in-game while the rest of the game plays perfectly.

IF I try to use the x360 pad, it doesn't recognize the 360 controller buttons when I try to map.

If i try the njoy pad, it doesn't recognize the sticks but it does for the buttons.

Note, in Wiimote settings it DOES recognize the stick movements but I can't map them successfully.

Please, does anyone have any advice?
I tried removing the wiimote plugin from it's folder. Once I did, I couldn't even load the game. Had to put it back.

what are you guys trying to do? >_>, you need the wiimote to be able to play that game.

you only have to be sure that the "Connect Real Wiimote" and "Use Real Wiimote" aren't checked if you're using the keyboard or a pc pad/joystick

Right now I play with an Xbox 360 controller and Xpadder mapping the keys through Wiimote emulation which works fine...until the input cuts out every 10 to 20 mins.

I suspected that this had something to do with the forced (i assume) wiimote emulation somehow messing up the controller signal but truthfully I don't really know what's causing the input crash.

I also assumed that it an error of some sort that's causing the inability to uncheck the "Wiimote on" box.

I have tried every combo of Wiimote settings possible, including unchecking the other two boxes.
