The game works just fine, I lag on menu choosing options, but when I get into the race I don't, the only problem is I can't turn either right or left I tried and changed config in gamepad but still wouldn't work

Are you playing Double Dash? Wii or GC? What kind of controller are you using?
I had some troubles as well at first. The right/left was opposite. 12-12-2009, 10:02 AM
My bad I totally forgot some info, im playing the one on the wii on my keyboard, I noticed you normaly play with the steer wheel and thought moving around would be with the mouse but it wasn't working.
edit: now that you mention it, in the menu choosing car/character/etc, up/down and left/right key are opposite
In this video the game runs almost perfectly. The Dolphin SVN R used is 4499.
It says in the description: "Use a PS2 controller." instead the keyboard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3slkhPjESU

I have the GC version so I'm not sure if I could help you. For the record, my version works flawlessly in every respect.
I use a 360 controller which is automatically mapped with the x360 gamepad for GC games (with the exception of switching the left/right). 12-12-2009, 03:37 PM
GC version is Mario Kart Double Dash and that has some issues with drifting and turning when dual core is enabled but this does not affect everyone i have that problem but some others don't Mario Kart Wii on the other hand has no such problems apart from the sometimes weird graphics in the DX9 (OGL is perfect with this game) it runs as it should

This just happend to me. Solution is quite simple, map the nunchuk controls to your gamepad, since the game uses the analog pad of nunchuck to turn left or right

When I try to turn a hard left, I can drift as normal, (drift is on automatic), but when I turn a hard right, the kart turns slightly to the right, but not as hard as the left one. When I use the keyboard everything works fine.
Is there something wrong with my nunchuck, or is this a well-known problem? |
