Can't save Wii games

Whenever I try to save my game on Animal Crossing: Wii, it fails and tells me it can't find the Wii System Memory or something like that (sorry, I' don't remember what it said exactly, I'll try to get a screenshot later). I'm using SVN 4460, I just downloaded and unzipped it about a week ago when it was released, and I haven't fiddled with any of the Wii configs so I don't think I accidentally screwed anything up.

Should I just try re-downloading it? Or is there something I can configure to fix this?

Try downloading a save from someone and see if it gives you that error when saving with it
