Question
Hi i am new here as you can tell by my post amount and here is a story.

Long story:
I have set up the DS3 tool connected my PS3 controller started up Dolphin 3.5 and started Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (NGC version), everything was good looking and the game was running smooth, *until* i found out that i could not simply run...i went in and out between the dolphin GC controller config and the game several times testing and changing the controller, but no luck i checked the internet and YouTube for possible explanations or someone that have been able to fix this but still no luck, and i did that for 2 weeks once in a while and i have run out of places to look or videos to check, so i have come here as my last chance to get this fixed.

Short story:
I cannot run in the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, i have tried every button combination and the PS3 nun-chock controller won't let me run only walk.

More info:

Can you move fine in other games? Try unplugging your controller and using your keyboard instead to see if that's the problem

This probably won't help much, but you might want to try the better PS3 controller drivers that MaJoR recommends to everyone: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-ps3-controller-help--30470?pid=275644#pid275644

This problem seems to cover all of the 3 games i tested it in.

I did try to unplug my controller but the dolphin emulator could not find my keyboard even after going into the controller config.

The games used to test the movement with a PS3 joystick was

Super Mario Sunshine

Tales of Symphonia

Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness

Could not run in any of the games mentioned aboveonly walk.

PS: In Super Mario Sunshine i had a hard-time controlling Mario cause the controls was also very sensitive.

I did try that program but no luck so far and the results are the same, still no running only walking. (for yet unknown reasons)

Could you take a screenshot of both DS3 Tool and the GCPAD window?

What 'profile' did you enable in DS3 Tool?
I recommend to click on the radio button next to Playstation 2 Controller (PoV, Joysticks, Digital Triggers) and enable that.

It should work properly without you having to change things in Dolphin aside from the mapping, but if it still doesn't work, go to the GCPAD configuration and right-click on the buttons under Main Stick and increase the range.

Also, I recommend to use this front-end over DS3 Tool.
Unfortunately it does require the MotionInJoy drivers to be installed.

Show us screenshots of your GCpad window. If the SCPdrivers are still doing it, then it is unlikely that it is on the controller's side. I have a theory as to what might cause this but I need to see the GCpad window to confirm it.

I must admit that i had a hard time figuring out how to install the scpdrivers and might have missed a point or two. I am sorry to ask this but a very detailed step by step could help.

I have tried every profile except the custom with no luck. (btw do i need to install the driver(s) every-time i try a new profile ?) PS:"right-click on the buttons under Main Stick" ? is it the *Dead Zone* ? or *Square Stick* ? and how much ?

I will try that program soon.

That's um... not a link to the images.

Instructions are here, and they are very thorough (perhaps too much so, it's the thoroughness that seems to give people trouble): http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wrapper-for-DS3-and-Play-com-USB-Dual-DS2-Controller

The only thing that isn't on here is that you have to remove the motion in joy drivers manually. That's not SCP's fault, that's motion in joys fault for never removing the drivers when you uninstall it. Just go to the device manager, find the motion in joy device and hit uninstall, and check "remove drivers" in the uninstall confirmation. The SCP drivers uninstall cleanly and you can always reinstall motion in joy if you really want to.
