Can't hold down buttons for the wii

I tried to play naruto clash of ninja revolution and whenever I press a button down it is repeated untill I let go. this makes navigating the menu very difficult and playing difficult as well.
I use an xbox 360 controller. any help is greatly appriciated

Do you have a gamecube controller configured with the same controls maybe?
Which Dolphin version are you using? (don't say latest)
