I have tried for hours to use my keyboard in place of a gamecube controller and have had no luck. Under the plugin tab i have selected "Dolphin GCPad New" and configured it so that the device is keyboard/mouse and set my keys. However, no matter what I try, i cannot get the keyboard to work in game. Is there something I'm not doing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing you have a good reason for using 2.0 instead of 3.0 but still try 3.0
If you're still adamant on using 2.0, if i remember correctly it should have another GCpad plugin (don't know what its called) just check config > plugins > under the gcpad plugin, select the one thats not GCPad New. If you're using 2.0 cause of an incompatible GPU then try older revs preferably 6515/6505
......?????

I am using 2.0 because 3.0 was giving me a black screen on the games I am trying to run. The only options I have in the plugin menu are "dolphin gcpad plugin" and "dolphin gcpad new." The only hints that i have read online about this is that other plugins wont show up if my directx is not the newest version, and I am pretty sure that it is up to date.
