Can't get configured Xbox One controller to work in original Pikmin!

Hey guys, so after 2 hours of troubleshooting my Xbox One controller drivers and finally getting them to work, I've ran into a second issue. When I attempt to play the original Pikmin, the controller will not work in game, even though the controller configuration is done, it's set as standard controller, and it's in slot one. Could somebody possibly help me as to why the controller will not work in game?
