can't figure out how to get my Wii to post on PC

I can't figure out how to get my Wii to post on PC and have the basic set up with HDMI converter and HDMI cable running to my PC. I have tried both HDMI inputs ( standard motherboard port and GPU HDMI port as well ) on PC and getting nothing from either. Please help!!!

What do you mean by post?

Are you trying to record a physical wii? That has nothing to do with dolphin. And all of (or at least the vast majority of) the HDMI ports on a computer are output only, not input. You would need a capture card.
