I just had the same problem as the OP.
I had updated my graphic drivers to the most current ones today. Yesterday Dolphin worked fine, but today after doing my graphics update, Dolphin would no longer work using the OpenGL plugin (was getting "The memory could not be written." error). Hmmm.. I thought this strange and obviously had something to do with the new drivers I just installed.
After reading a few more messages in this thread, I seen someone suggest un-installing graphic-drivers before installing new ones. Normally I would do that, but this time I had forgot. So, I did that, I un-installed all of my nVidia Graphic Drivers, rebooted, installed the new drivers, rebooted... Tried Dolphin again, and lo' and behold, it all works fine again without problems.
Hope that may help some of you that may have a similar problem.
Cheers
