I'm having trouble connecting my Wiimote to dolphin. It used to work fine before (albeit a bit unreliable), but now it refuses to even pair up at all. I'm using revision 4.0-1487 x64, and my bluetooth adapter is an external Broadcom BCM20702 4.0 USB connector. Things I have already tried / done;

- Made sure Wiimote 1 in the Wiimote menu is set to Real Wiimote
- Made sure to connect my Wiimote to my computer by going to Bluetooth > Add new device > Nintendo RVL-CNT-01
- Pressed the refresh button in the Wiimote menu and 1+2 on my Wiimote at the same time
- Started a Wii game up and tried to connect by pressing 1+2 at the same time
- Started a Wii game up and pressed F1 a few times
- Tried on earlier versions I remember working, did not work anymore (down to 4.0-1200)

My wiimote is the standard wiimote without Wiimotion Plus integration; it's connected to a wiimotion plus module and a nunchuck.
I started an issue for this, but quickly realized that it wasn't necessarily something wrong with dolphin, so I'm posting here. If anybody knows whether or not external Bluetooth adapters work, or whether or not mine doesn't, or if there's a windows update I need to rollback then please help. I've been trying to fix this problem for a while now, and it's got to the point that there aren't enough resources out there that I can look at in order to fix it.

Well, hope this is useful, at least I took the time to reply. Forgive me if this won't help you further.

You might want to try to let your computer install the driver for Nintendo RVL-CNT-01 again. I also had my Wiimote working once, after it was a lot of work getting it working again. I took my computer hours and hours to install the correct drivers. I first thought that the installer froze, but it did not.

When the connection is successful, you should see the following in the log, after it should work normally:

58:44:417 Src\HW\WiimoteReal\IOWin.cpp:810 N[Wiimote]: Found Wiimote (1b:48:98:f3:24:00). Enabling HID service.
58:47:488 Src\HW\WiimoteReal\WiimoteReal.cpp:679 N[Wiimote]: Connected to Wiimote 1.
58:49:984 Src\HW\WiimoteReal\WiimoteReal.cpp:338 N[Wiimote]: Stopping Wiimote data reporting. (When you press OK in your Wiimote settings).

That or the problem lies in your Bluetooth adapter connectivity. If that's the case, I can't help cause I am using my computer's bluetooth.
Good luck.
