Hello everyone! Maybe I'm not putting this on the write section but anyway, I recently installed Windows 7 Professional on my PC (x86), the thing is that I downloaded Dolphin and tried to run it, I had the error of XINPUT1_3.dll was missing, I downloaded that .dll and decompress it in C:\Windows\System (or maybe C:\Windows - I really don't remember).

The thing is that I could run the emulator, but when I tried to configure the plugin for D3D9, a message ocurred, DR3D9.dll (or something like that) was missing.

I started to google and searching in the forums and the solution to this issue was the same for the XINPUT1_3.dll one. I had to update DirectX libraries, in my case DirectX 11 because I have Windows 7.

I downloaded the updated libraries (30 Nov 2010) from the Microsoft website and tried to install it for the update, but an error ocurred: "Check DXError.log y DirectX.log in Windows folder to identify the problem" (maybe that wasn't the exact message but, it works anyway to understand it)

I checked both logs, and the reason why I can't update Direct X is because I have already installed the newest version o.O

So, why can't I configure my graphics plugins (both D9 and D11) ?

PS: I have dual boot, so I tried to run it in Windows XP and it works perfectly, of course it's DirectX 9.0c
PS2: My NVIDIA drivers are up to date! (GeForce GT240)

Salutes

Just a guess but a lot of users have reported weird problems like this with the GT 240. We don't know why but that particular video card has issues with dolphin. This may or may not be related to that (just a theory).

Ever tried installing dx9.0c setup on win7?

But I dont know if it helps.

Didn't try that, in fact I didnt know that was possible, as soon as I get home I will update my NET Framework to version 4, and my Visual Studio C++ 2008, if that doesn't work I'll install DirectX 9.0c setup on W7.

I'll let you guys know.

if you play PC games in Win7 you MUST install DirectX 9.0c. It will not affect DX10/DX11 whatsoever.

Directx9.0c, directx10.1, directx10.1, and directx11 are all included with windows 7. We're simply asking him to update the runtimes, which affects all versions of d3d. Also all pc games include a runtime update for directx for the time of their release.

Well you guys, I really didn't know that all the versions were included in Windows 7, so I updated 9.0c runtimes (Jun 2010) and problem solved, I can configure both plugins and play my games succesfully.

Thanks for all your valuable help and you can close the thread.

Greetings Blush
