I think the actual input is run + shake or something. It's some motion controlled non-sense.

the exact way to pick up anything in NSMBW is: stand still next to the object or player, push button 1 and shake your Wiimote: in your case Push C on your keyboard then push LSHIFT. Also since we are talking about NSMBW please put extention to disabled and tick sideways wiimote.

I have a gamepad similar to the PS2 one, and this is my config:
- Select + Start A X B O TILT Left - Left trigger Right - Right trigger SHAKE x, y, z -> The three to "triangle" button //NUNCHUCK C - R1 Z - R2 TILT Left - Left trigger Right - Right trigger SHAKE x, y, z -> The three to "triangle" button This way I can carry things pussing O + triangle 01-24-2017, 07:51 AM

So I have this issue too, except I'm using a real Wiimotionplus remote. Everything works fine completely in Skyward Sword/Mario Galaxy, but none of the shake commands work in New Super Mario Bros, so this means no helicopter hat and no picking toad up...
What's the deal? 06-25-2020, 05:15 PM
To the fellow gamers who don't know how to carry Toad in NSMBW, here's the thing:
Stand next to Toad and PRESS & HOLD both the SCROLL & RIGHT BUTTONS, and while you're at it, to prevent yourself from jumping needlessly, also PRESS & HOLD the LEFT BUTTON while doing the same thing to the SCROLL & RIGHT BUTTONS, after doing that you can let go of the LEFT & SCROLL BUTTONS, leading to the result of you being able to jump at will with your LEFT BUTTON. NOTE: After doing the whole process, you should still hold the RIGHT BUTTON so that you don't break the whole process. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU! XD 06-26-2020, 03:27 PM
