Hi, I've been using dolphin for a few months now, no problems at all. Set up with Direct3d12, 2x native, 2x MSAA and 8x Anisotropic. Everything Wii and Gamecube runs great. I happened to come across a thread saying that the D3D12 renderer is not to be used due to it not being worked on. So, I've tried switching to D3D11 and OpenGL and this is where my problem is, nothing will play well at that resolution on those two. Constant stuttering and slow down. I even tried a newer version (I'm using 5.0 stable, tried a dev version 5.0-3776) with the Vulkan renderer and still no go. Any help as to why my PC won't play nice with anything other than D3D12 would be greatly appreciated!!

Specs: Win 10 Pro, GTX750 1gb, i5 4690k Version 5.0 stable

Does the stuttering happen periodically, like when an effect comes on screen? Or is it constant? If so, that might just be shader compilation and D3D12 gets away with it *slightly* because of the way it works.

Also, your GPU is *very* weak. Turn off MSAA and maybe ansio filtering, although that might be fine.

Yes I know my GPU is rubbish lol. Anyway thanks for your reply, I'll try and explain it better. Say I'm playing Wind Waker, with D3D12 2x MSAA 2x native and 8x anisotropic, switch to full screen, absolutely perfect. With D3D11 or OpenGL, it won't even run in a window let alone full screen. In a window I get between 20-25 fps and the emulator runs around 85%, sometimes dropping as low as 18%, with really choppy sound. If I switch to full screen it just grinds to a halt. With D3D12 I get constant 30fps and 98-100% speed with perfect audio, whether windowed or full screen. The only way it'll run with 11 or GL is native, no msaa or ani. Does that mean I'm stuck with running in 12 so my games look good? Should my spec get better results from 11 or GL?

I'm wondering if your video drivers are forcing your GPU into idle clocks for whatever reason.

Have you made a High-performance profile for Dolphin in Nvidia control panel?

I think I found what was wrong, my GPU was overclocked but I think it wasn't as stable as I thought. It must have been going over the threshold and throttling, stock GPU settings no problems. Sorry for wasting your time lol, thanks for the replies Smile
