Amd FX-8350 cpu
Radeon 7950 Sapphire X oc boost 3gb DDR5
G.Skill sniper 1866mhz 16gb
No OC yet

I am trying to play Windwaker with
4x Native 2560x2212
4x SSAA
16x FA
1920x1080 Full screen Res
Backend 3D9
EFB Texture

When I run WW 4x Native 4x SSAA the frame rate dips from 30-24 with lag
With just 4x Native 2560x2212 it stays at a constant 30fps with no lag
3x Native with 4x SSAA also runs perfectly at 30fps

I feel with my system specs i should be able to handle 4x SSAA with 4x native. Is there anything in catalyst i can configure to improve performance. Am I wrong about my specs, do I need a better graphics card to run at that level. What would be the minimum recommended specs for that level of quality.

Just stick with 3xIR+4xSSAA. That's probably your card's limit.

Just so you know how exactly this works:
4xIR = 2560x2212
4xIR + 4xSSAA = 5120x4424 = 8xIR
4xIR + 9xSSAA = 7680x6636 = 12xIR
3xIR = 1920x1584
3xIR + 4xSSAA = 3840x3168 = 6xIR
3xIR + 9xSSAA = 5760x4752 = 9xIR

I think Wind Waker's cell shaded graphics tend to be more demanding than for example in games like Monster Hunter Tri, the same happened to me I'm using an nvidia gtx 550ti and had to lower the IR due to the fps dropping in areas like the forest
The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.
