hey guys, i'm new around here so if i put this in the wrong spot, or am asking a question previously answered im sorry. if that is the case, if some1 could redirect me to where i should be that would be great! anyway, i started using dolphin emulator around a month ago, and i decided to play skyward sword on it. at first it was everything i would've asked for and more. the game looked fantastic it ran really well and everything was just dandy. problems started happening when i got around the lava part of the game. the game started slowing down gradually and now it is at the point where i can't play it anymore. getting around 12 fps with about 44% speed no matter what the settings are on. i'd have to think that i tinkered with the settings or something to cause this to happen, because it just doesnt make any sense. the audio is also super choppy. Like i said it doesnt matter what resolution i play on or any settings, the emulator is unplayable. Before i get hate for posting my specs, i do have an amd processor and it gets the job done for most things. anyway here are my specs

windows 8 home premium 64 bit (ik ik it sucks)
700w power supply
amd fx-8150 Zambezi processor at 3.9Gz 8 cores
Nvidia Geforce Gtx 770
blah blah blah, i dont think anything else is relevant

anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, or needs more info about my rig let me know. any help would be greatly appreciated and ty in advance.

I'm not very knowledgeable but I would venture that has to do with how the game is caching your progress, specifically some discrepancy between Dolphin's method and the Wii.

A dev might pop in with a hack here shortly.

Try clearing the cache from Dolphin. Its either a setting, or you can just go to the "Dolphin Emulator" folder in "Documents" and delete the cache folder. You may get some microstutters in games when the cahce is rebuilt, but it may fix your problem.

I don't think that LoZ: SS suffers from a slowdown like Twilight Princess does

Maybe not, but it´s still on the demanding category. I´d overclock if I were you (O.P.).
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.
