Since dolphin uses two cores, and usually works them at close to 100%, anything else running on computer with a dual core processor will slow down your game. With four cores, you can record or even have someone else surfing the web and what not on a separate screen with no impact on dolphin. The idea of a G3220 and a $60-$70 motherboard is pretty tempting though. I didn't realize you could get a decent cpu for dolphin for that little.
