Can I run dolphin without directX update?

There was info on making a portable version of Dolphin here though I dunno how if anyone's gotten anything working, at least recently. Unless your school has some fairly decent computers, Dolphin probably won't run too well.

Also, OpenGL, the best? I wish. Objectively though, it's just another tool in the toolbox, use it when it fits the job.
