Hello everyone,
Is GT 330m enough to play dolphin emulator for game cube games? I tried mario tennis and it's slower than normal speed, i get like 40 fps while in game play.
I have an i7 so cpu should not be the problem..
Thanks!
my spec: Vaio, laptop, 64-bit, Intel Core i7 1.6 Ghz, GT 330m, 1080p, 1 gb vram, Win 7, 4gb RAM

Yes. I assume it's at least the 720m and we're talking about a laptop. That gpu is weak but it's enough for games at native resolutions. It does depend on teh game.

Make sure you aren't locking threads to core.
Laptop:
i5 520m :: 4GB RAM :: ATI 5650 (700, 900)

WOW UR CPU 1.6 GHZ???? they make i7's that slow????? WAAY TOO SLOW CPU

Checkout my latest project ( it is a program that downloads and compiles dolphin on mac and linux now): http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu-downloader (It's unofficial and maintained by me, not the dolphin dev team)

trust me i7 core @ clocked 1.6ghz is not slow but im suprise that a sony vaio doesn't have a built in OC program.
usually laptops that have a i7 core have OC program that extent the performance of the cpu.

intel turbo boost is a small program that enables a automatic oc to the cpu
but is not configurable

it's no program, it's a feature integrated into the cpu. It will always work unless disabled in BIOS.

core i7 720qm only runs at 1.6ghz (base frequency) on idle... When stressed on 1 core it runs at 2.8ghz, on 2 cores about 2.4-2.6ghz, etc...
