My mini ITX PC doesn't cost much ($400->500) but still be able to run all games full speed . It's not portable but much smaller than a normal PC

Are the specs what you have listed under your name?

Also, what do you think of this?

An Intel GPU will make dolphin cry if you try bumping anything up above 2x IR.

Try this.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ZQpWQ7

The CPU clock speed and GPU will keep dolphin very happy, and it's Mini ITX.

If you plan on playing other Very Intensive games (Battlefield 4, Planetside 2, Arkham Knight, etc) on this build, you'll have to turn down a few settings.

Also, I assumed this was an HTPC build so I didn't bother adding an SSD. Just an HDD

If you want small computers (Which is seems like you do) I would go with an I7-4770R NUC like you did or the Alienware Alpha.

This should be able to play modern games and most Dolphin games at full speed. Even if Dolphin slows down you can just downclock the virtual CPU

Yes , G3258 @ 4.6GHz ($70) is as strong as i7 4790k @ 4.4GHz($353) since both of them have the same architecture and Dolphin is a dual core app
Don't trust me ? See Dolphin Benchmark here :
https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-the-unofficial-dolphin-benchmark-results-updated-jun-30-2015
Spoiler: (Show Spoiler)
Scoring:
------------
"A" - Total time of 4:30 or less. Your CPU is fast enough to run the most demanding titles at full speed *, including double-speed mods with WS AR patches and virtual CPU overclock.
"B" - Total time of 6:00 or less. Your CPU should be enough for full speed * in the more demanding titles, with a few exceptions.
"C" - Total time of 8:30 or less. Your CPU is good for (full speed * in) all the "medium" titles.
"D" - Total time of 11:00 or less. Your CPU is good only for the "light" stuff.

* "Full Speed" in this benchmark means full speed all the time (without dips, even in the most demanding parts), not "full speed most of the time" or "full speed half of the time".

It's a good deal but you will have to take it apart and replace the trash OEM thermal compound to Arctic MX-4 or IC diamond 7 carat before you try to run any game on it
Hint : Many Dolphin users bought it and tried it with Dolphin . It will overheat if you don't replace the thermal paste

Thanks everyone i decided to build my own system. Mini-ITX system with an Intel i3-4370 3.8ghz. According to the guide it should preform really well.

Any one have any opinions on SSD vs HDD. I need the storage so HDD seems like a better option. But if their is a big performance difference in Dolphin when using an SSD vs an HDD?

An SSD won't be any faster in dolphin.

Sorry for the bump, but if you are thinking of getting a g3528, DO NOT GET WINDOWS 10.

I may be wrong, but I heard that over clocked g3528's won't boot windows 10. Something Intel did to boost sales of the i3

And I know this doesn't directly affect op, just thought people should know about it

Bullshit. My overclocked Pentium G3258 is running Windows 10 just fine since the launch day, zero problems...

yeah lolwut.

It's not Microsoft's problem if your hardware isn't configured correctly.
