I used to play Resident evil4, the c stick worked perfectly. Lately I’ve started a new game on Zelda ocarina of time and majora’s Mask, I’d never played this games before so I wanted to try. The problem is that in both games the c stick seem to not work, I can’t use it for items, for calling Navi or for controlling camera view. In the controller window of dolphin the stick moves but in the games it doesn’t. Idk what to do...please I need help

I've tried to set the d pad for working as the c stick but it didn't work. I'm usic a PS4 controller and the problem doesn't depend on the connection of the controller (I've tried to connect it with usb cable and bluetooth connection of the mac). The C-Stick is locked to the four C-Buttons like on the Nintendo 64. C-Up talks to Navi / Tatl (when she pops up) or otherwise enters the Free Cam. C-Left, C-Right and C-Down refer to using items set at their respective buttons, of course if being allowed to said bound items in given location. Buttons X, Y and Z on the GameCube Controller are equal to C-Stick Right, C-Stick Left and C-Stick Down respectively. Tilt the C-Stick into one of these four directions to trigger their respective N64 C-Buttons. If you using a Xbox or any XInput controller for example, you often bind the C-Stick from the GameCube controller to your second analog stick on your own controller. Both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask were Nintendo 64 games and were based on the layout of the Nintendo 64 controller, which did not have a C-Stick or second analog stick, but had four C-Buttons instead which acted in some games are a camera and in other games to provide an additional form of input, like items in both Zelda games. Banjo-Kazooie was a bit clever with it for example where the C-Buttons both acted to control the camera and for executing moves when holding the Z-Trigger (which was referred to as the L-Trigger on the GameCube, the Options menu in the Collector's Edition is proof of that). The Collector's Edition and Master Quest discs are only compatible with the GameCube Controller setup while the Virtual Console versions of both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask work with either the GameCube Controller or Classic Controller (Wiimote extension) setups. Trying obtaining some items to bind on the C-Buttons through the Pause Menu and see if you can activate those when in-game. |
