C stick not registering + Cannot change settings

Hey guys. So I'm currently using Dolphin 4.0-9320 and while trying to play Super Smash Bros Melee I noticed my C-Stick was not working with the official gamecube adapter with numerous controllers. I saw that this was a relatively common problem relieved by configuring the controller with an older version of dolphin as a standard controller but when I do this, none of the configuration buttons pop up :

Can anyone help me with this?

The C stick does seem to be registering by the way but it only zooms the camera in Smash rather than being useful as an attack input

Thanks!

Dalton

Be sure to check out this article: https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/how-use-official-gc-controller-adapter-wii-u/

If the above article didn't help, and you want to manually configure the controller as opposed to using Direct Connect, then keep on reading.

Firstly, in the image above, your input device is set to the computer keyboard; if you're using a GameCube controller via an adapter, make sure it's set to the respective adapter port, and that each button is tied to an input (i.e., A shows 'Button 1', B shows 'Button 2', etc.). (With the MayFlash adapter, the input device is listed as "DInput/0/MAYFLASH Gamecube Controller", with 0-3 being the four ports; I'm not sure what the official adapters show up as, but I doubt it's "DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse).

Secondly, in Melee, the C-Stick should not zoom the camera when paused; perhaps you mean how it tilts the screen in the character selection menu? (If the C-Stick zooms when paused, perhaps you tied the C-Stick inputs to X and Y, which zoom when paused in multiplayer).

Third, when in the "GameCube Controller Configuration" menu, make sure that the red dot on the C-Stick Map moves when you press the C-Stick. You should adjust the dead zone so that the dot doesn't wiggle when you aren't touching the C-Stick, and adjust the radius so that fully pressing the C-Stick moves the dot slightly past the edge of the circular map (your dead zone will likely be less than 10, and your radius will likely be more than 70).

The above are basic setup steps.

After confirming the three points above, if the C-Stick can tilt the screen during the character selection menu but can't perform smash attacks in-game, then it sounds like a software problem, in which case I'm clueless. Confused

EDIT: Here is an image of my controller setup with a MayFlash adapter and authentic "Smash 4" Controller (i.e., manufactured within the last few years, not back in the early 2000's). I'm using the same build as you (4.0-9320), and don't have this issue.

Isn't that how it's supposed to work when you're playing a single player mode?
