Lets not turn this into yet another GPU x vs GPU y thread please, we have enough open threads for that (even for this very specific comparison).
Unless OP specifically asks for help regarding this, then refrain from discussing it here. 12-29-2014, 02:03 PM
OP here
I really appreciate everyone's input! I'll most likely be building my PC and if I have any problems, I have a friend that can help me out. I'll most likely be going with shreduhsoreus' build, but if anyone else has suggestions for a build I'll be very grateful! I'm always open for more input, especially for an $800ish purchase. Thanks guys. 12-29-2014, 02:55 PM

Main FPS I was looking at was Crysis 3. 30.3 vs 24.5(660 TI vs 270x). The other FPS differences weren't AS drastic, ~15%. Your specs seem a little off on the 270, I'm seeing 2304 GFLOPS. To answer your question though: http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphi...-revealed/ Should be coming out late January. OP is asking for advice, we are putting out a lot of information about different cards of different prices and they're benefits and how they compare against each other so he can make an informed decision based on price, specs and benchmarks. I don't see any problem with this. They'll all work out for you, at this point it's just preference and your budget that will be the deciding factor. More than happy to help though Edit: kirbypuff has got me thinking now. If you're not planning on making the actual purchase for a month or 2, you could save up a little more money and wait for the GTX 960 to come out. It should be pretty beastly(though it will definitely cost a little more than the 660 Ti I posted, and significantly more than the 3 AMD cards being discussed).
Craptop specs: W7 Pro x64 | Arctic Silver 5 woo! | i7 4700MQ @ ~3.5GHz | GT 740M 2GB @ 1183/1080MHz | 12GB DDR3 1600Mhz | 1366x768 screen lololol
