How can anyone enjoy emulation on laptop? First, you lose one big advantage of emulation, HD resolution. When you playing game with game controller, you have to put your laptop away from you, and with wiimote even further. So, you'll end up buying inferior hardware for more money, and I didn't get the impression that your reasons for laptop are strong enough. But it's your money.

Well , that laptop is far stronger than your computer :
GTX 850M has more memory bandwidth than Nvidia 9800GT
I7 4700MQ is faster than i5 3570k @ 4.2GHz in Dolphin Benchmark
He could run most games full speed with that hardware

Buy a monitor . You can get an IPS monitor for 95$ nowaday

With processor changed to i7-4700 MQ and with Windows 7 Home 64-bit as the OS.

Yeah, GPU's not that good but Dolphin doesn't need GPU that much anyway. And I think it can run recent games decently so it's good enough for me.

And the free Arctic Cooling MX-4 Thermal Compound - CPU + GPU seems nice.
