i7 cpus have HT, i5 cpus don't. A lot of benchmarking applications take advantage of HT and therefore obtain much better IPC on i7 cpus. On dolphin however it makes no difference. This explains the results. Like admin said it should be around 23% faster once you account for this, not 4%.
This is why you don't compare different applications. For example just because cpu X is 20% faster than cpu Y in other applications doesn't mean it will be in dolphin.
