Hello all! New forum member here! (Sorry if i get anything wrong or I screw something up. Ill try my best!)
I've recently been playing all my AC games. I had no trouble mapping my Xbox controller to fit a GC controller, but Im having some issues with the IR sensor on a Wii controller. I have gotten the IR to WORK, but I haven't found a solution I'm happy with yet. A common issue Ive seen threads talk about is how the pointer drifts to the center of the screen when not in use. The only solution I have been able to find is adding !NOT in front of an assigned HIDE button. This works, sure... but i was wondering if there was any way to tell it to hide the pointer until I move my right joystick in any direction. I see other syntax options, but i haven't been able to get them to work or figure them out. Does anyone have some advice? Thank you. <3
Edit: I did manage to sort of do what I wanted to do. I wrote in a string of button commands like !(Right Y+) & !(Right Y-) etc until I had the whole range of analog motion set. This did sort of give me the desired effect, but there's a problem. The pointer will disappear when you move over the center of the screen. That means you won't be able to press anything in the center of the screen. My current solution is setting the right trigger to unhide the pointer, and setting my left trigger to be A (along with the A button). This allows me to select thing normally. I can type just as fast if not faster than with the original Wii controller.
If anyone can find some better solutions, layouts etc please let me know!
