Bullshit. 4.0-8723 doesnt recognize USB controller

I can map it just fine, but when i start up the game it wont work. This seems to be an old issue.
Running OSX, have tried all the tricks. Anything new to help get this working?

What game are you trying to play and which type of emulated controller did you configure?
