I'm going to build a pc solely for hooking up to the tv and playing my console games, that includes wii and ps2 (dolphin and pcsx2), amongst other, older and less demanding emulators. The goal is a minimalist system, but one that won't bottleneck performance with graphics maxed out, LLE and little to no speedhacks/speedsettings as much as possible. Given the nature of emulation, hardware is ofcourse not the only factor that determines performance of a game but my goal is for my hardware not to be a factor limiting performance.
I have a gtx670 and 8gb of ram. I take it this is already more than enough, right? CPU is i3570k 3.40Ghz, this will likely have to be upgraded, any suggestions? Any advice of other hardware is appreciated, my budget isn't very limited atm.
