Hi there, this is my first post here [Image: smile.gif]
I'm planning on building a new rig:
CPU : Intel Core I7-4770(Haswell) -3.4ghz
Graphic card : MSI GTX 660 TWIN FROZR III - 2GB
RAM : 8 GB G.Skill Sniper (2x4GB)

I'm planning on using this rig to run some games like Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros Brawl, The last story, Xenoblade Chronicles, Pandora's Tower... Will they run at 60fps or so ?
I'm not too familiar with dolphin (only used it once or twice) . I also have very little knowledge on overclocking (I can try to overclock the CPU, but only if I have to).

For that you'll have to choose 4770K.

With this CPU all games will work fine

Okay thanks for the quick reply.
But I may have to reduce my budget by a little, how will a Core i5 3570k or i5 4670k handle dolphin and these games ?

Just fine. 3570K is still a good choice Big Grin

The 4670K is dramatically better. Unless the price difference between them is huge get the 4670K.

If you can't 3570K is enough for most games. The ones you listed will be fully playable either at stock clock either if you overclock to 4.2GHz

What about Intel Xeon E3-1230 V3 ? My friend just told me that this CPU was only a bit slower than the i7-4770, but much cheaper

It's slower than 3570K. And you won't be able to overclock with that

This. At least for Dolphin and PCSX2.

On Wind Waker benchmark, with my 4670k at 4.1GHz, I got around 15% better results than a 3570k at 4.2GHz.
CPU: Intel Core i5 4670k @ 4.4GHz
GPU: GAINWARD GeForce GTX 1080 Phoenix "GLH"
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X DDR3 16GB 1600MHz CL7
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
