Hi ya'll. Need advice.
I'm building a Dolphin/Hyperspin box and need to some help.

I'd like to play all games @ 1080p with medium of the road settings on everything else.
Will the below be able to do it?

I'm thinking:

Intel Core i5 4670k (Auto OC/Turbo On)
ITX z87 Mobo (haven't decided)
Small Form Factor CPU Cooler (Haven't decided, it needs to be less than 35mm)
2x4GB RAM. (Cheapest DDR3-1600 I can get at the time)
90GB mSATA SSD
3TB Green Western Digital HDD
FSP Group 300w Mini ITX/Flex ATX PSU
HIS 7750 1GB 128-BIT GDDR5 H775FN1G

i5 4670k stock speed 3.4GHz is almost as fast as i5 3570k @ 4.2GHz
Since Intel HD 4600 is on par with Nvidia GT 430 , you may not need a graphic card atm (buy graphic card later)
Just pair i5 4670k with MSI Z87 G43
Aftermaket cooler : Cooler Master GeminII M4 (cheap) or Noctua NH-L9i (cost higher)
What's your case btw ?
Laptop: (Show Spoiler)
Clevo W230SS : 3200x1800 IPS | i7 4700MQ @ 3.6GHz (Intel XTU + Triple fan mod) | GTX 860M GDDR5 | 128GB Toshiba CFD SSD | 16GB DDR3L 1600MHz
Acer 4743G : 1366x768 LED |  i5 560M @ 3.2GHz | Nvidia GT 540M 1GB | Intel SSD 40GB  | 4GB DDR3 1333MHz | CM SNA95
Mini PC :: (Show Spoiler)
G3258 @ 4.6GHz | ELSA GTX 750 | Asrock Z87E ITX | 600W SFX 80+ Gold Silverstone + SG06-LITE | Corsair Vengeance 8GB 2000MHz | Scythe Kozuti + Ao Kaze
Gechic 1502i 1080p IPS , 10TB 2.5" Ex HDD , Zelda Gold Wiimote , JVC FX-700 Wood In-ear , BlackWidow Chroma , Hacoa +Lumber
Now Playing : Xenoblade X on WiiU Emu

My case will be a gutted out NES.

I have a small amount of room and airflow is going to be an issue.
That and I'm trying to make 0 cuts to the outside of the case.

Under the cartridge flap I'm planning on JB Welding 2 40mm intake Fans. But I need negative air pressure too. I'm still trying to figure out where that will come from.

Can I really rely on the 4600 not being a bottleneck?
If so I can use a laptop AC adpater with a PICO psu.
But if I need a GFX card then I need a Flex ATX PSU.

I could overclock.
Its just ambient air temps may be a problem.
Hard to say until I do testing.
Most people who shove PCs into an NES shell do Celerons or Mid-Level Pentiums.
Not OC'd i5/i7.

I had picked out this Mobo:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132032

(Quick note, ASUS is delivering a patch that allows OCing on non z87 boards)

I'll look into the Gigabyte board.
I haven't used Gigabyte in a LONG time.

EDIT***
Neither of these boards support mSATA SSDs. Sad

Get the noctua cooler then . It's quite expensive but it's very effective ( 63 degree Celsius with i7 2600k @ 4.3GHz - full load)

Buy "mSata to Sata adaptor" or sth like that to plug msata SSD

If I were to do that I'd just buy a regular SSD.
I want an mSATA due to power and space.

It can handle up to 2.5x Internal Resolution (1600x1320)
Higher Res (3x or 4xIR) = slowdown but you can overclock CPU to squeeze more FPS
Super Mario Galaxy is out of the question since it's the most GPU intensive game

You will need a graphic card for PC games . If PC games don't matter to you then ...
