Exclamation
I need help to get Wii games running on stable 5.0 Dolphin, but I keep getting this error "BT.DINF not found in SYSCONF", then "Trying to read from invalid SYSCONF Wiimote bt ids are not available", and finally I get "Can't find Wiimote by connection handle 100". After pressing OK on the errors, Dolphin just crashes. I tried to use a Google Search, but I got no answers whatsoever. I have a link to a video that showcases the errors in action. But is there any solution? I tried deleting the ini file, the broken sys file, and nothing seems to fix it. Even have it running Dolphin as admin to bypass any antivirus blocking and still crashes. Please help!

We don't support 5.0 stable, and these problems sound like the typical kinds of problems that would be solved by updating Dolphin. Is there any particular reason why you have to use 5.0 stable?

The SYSCONF errors can be worked around by deleting the SYSCONF file. Less sure about your Wiimote problem.

I'm using stable just so I can play locally, and want a stable way to play my collection of Wii and GameCube games in a more convenient way. But is there a specific build I should obtain in order to work?

In that case, you don't want 5.0 stable. It actually runs less stably than later versions.

Any recent build should work, but if you want to be recommended one, I would recommend the latest beta.

I see. So in order to upgrade it, do I have to uninstall the entire program, or can I simply patch my current download to a newer version?

Just download the new version, extract it to an empty folder, and run it. Uninstalling the old version is optional.

That fixed the problem! Thank you so much!
