Anyone try out one yet? I have one one the way, and I am hoping to be able to play Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wii Party and Mario Party 9 at 720p or better at full speed.

The system will consist of 16GB DDR3 1600 RAM and a 250GB Samsung EVO mSATA SSD paired with the i5-4570R and Iris Pro 5200 graphics.

Will be able to do up from 2.5X to (if lucky) 3X internal resolution (IR). You shouldn´t have speed problems since most games you plan to play are lightweight.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

That's what Internal Resolution Intel HD 4600 can handle
Intel HD 5200 is far better than that . I say 3x IR (1920x1584) or even 4x(2560x2112) in some light-weight games
Yeah , that CPU is fine for most games

That's great news. I really needed a new PC, and options are limited in the NUC form factor. I hope this PC can serve me well until Skylake Mac Minis are available.

Thanks for the fast response.

I'd recommend you wait a few weeks for BRIXGaming, which has a dedicated graphics card instead, but the BRIXPro is still okay.

The i5 4570R performs around the i5-3670k at stock.
If you want a little extra juice in your system, go for the upgraded version with the i7-4770R; http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4888#sp

There's no such thing as an i5-3670K. I think you mean to say the i5-3570K. :p

The 3670K is an old AMD CPU (surprisingly, also at a stock clock of 2.7GHz like the i5-4570R) but obviously the i5-4570R will eat that old AMD CPU alive.

@Shonumi: Precisely it´s from AMD. The exact model you are saying is AMD A6-3670K APU (launched: possibly 2011), with a reachable speed of 3.5 GHz. Tongue
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

I think that model may be prone to more heat/noise issues, and the difference in price paid for my SSD. Since this PC will also serve as my living room HTPC, I opted for the i5 version because I was worried about noise and want to keep the build under 1K after I add a 2TB 9.5mm HDD.

Being able to play a few Wii games will be gravy. We moved the Wii to Grandma's house when we got the Wii U, but the Wii games still get played almost as often.

Thanks for the comments guys.

The 4770R has the exact same TDP as a 4570R. It will not generate any additional heat or noise.
