Branch of netplay that works with saving?

Hi, me and a few friends tried to play Dokapon Kingdom on netplay, but it appears the current branch with traversal connection doesn't support save files. I was wondering if i could somehow enable it or if there is a version of dolphin that uses traversal connection that also supports saving. Thanks.
