I'm wondering if it is possible to boot a wii game from the wii system menu. I finally got the menu to work, but not perfectly. I can boot the usa or pal 4.0 menu if I click on it directly, but if I go to tools/load wii menu it makes dolphin crash.

hmmmmmm....
you didn't replace the sysconf file with the one you dumped from your wii did you? if so re-download dolphin......extract it to whereever and then search for the sysconf file.... once found cut and paste it to your desktop and then place your wii dumped files into the new re-downloaded dolphin just like you have for the dolphin you have right now then once that is done search for the sysconf that is in the re-downloaded dolphin and delete it....then replace it with the one you put on your desktop....... if you need me to go into more detail then let me know but hope you are exp. enough for this to help you out... let me know the results

i didn't actually dump a wii. I just happen to have a systemmenu4.0PAL.wad file. I also made a ticket folder in the wii folder. Then I opened dolphin and right clicked on the system menu file and clicked install to wii menu. Am I going to have to dump a real wii to get this to work.

Wii menu can't get access to the DVD through HLE_IPC_DI for some reason, it'll always think there is no disc in the drive.
