GameCube banners appear blurry as hell on my device and others. I tried several versions of the app but all of them seem to have the same problem. As far as I know the banners on the PC version are OK.

Is there anything we can do? Will this be fixed? Quite annoying.

Congratulations for the emulator.

GameCube banners simply are that low-res (96x32). They would look just as blurry on a PC if the banners would be displayed at the same size on a screen with the same pixel density. The only thing we could do differently is to use a different upscaling algorithm – for instance, nearest neighbor scaling would get rid of the blur, but it would still look clearly low-res – or to let you use custom images (which we already do to an extent, since Dolphin will try to automatically take a screenshot when exiting a game and then use that as the icon for the game).

However, the Wii banners could be displayed at 192x64 even though the Android version of Dolphin only displays them at 96x32 right now. It's just that nobody has fixed that yet. The PC version already displays them at 192x64 if you have a screen with a high pixel density.

Could it also be possible to support smaller more dense layouts? Especially with a large number of roms, only being able to see 1.5 banners at a time is cumbersome.

Sure, that's a possibility. But like with everything that's related to the Android GUI, don't expect any changes soon, since there are almost no active Android developers right now.

I'd like the ability to set a custom image and get rid of this issue. I think game covers should be downloaded automatically like any other emulator.

BTW, screenshots are not taken when I exit a game, any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

push back and take a screenshot of the _title_ screen. solved all my woes and you can, too. *no screenshots at close and *no small tiles.
hope this helps. let us know.

Well, screenshots are an improvement at least.
