Dolphin is a dual core application . You have 6 outdated/slow cores , that's why demanding games like SMG , TLS won't run well . Monster Hunster is ok with your CPU though
A CPU that perform well on a single threaded benchmark will be good enough for Dolphin
Having a Quad Core CPU will speed up Dolphin since you leave 2 idle cores for background processing
Quote:Some guys run Monsterhunter Smoothy on X4 which is worse than my X6Doesn't matter 4 cores , 8 cores , 10 cores or 100 cores
If his Phenom X4 clock speed is higher than yours , he will get better performance than you

It's not impossible to add Quad Core Support for Dolphin but the fact is :
_No speed gain (Skid - Developer mentioned this somewhere on the forum , i can't find that post though) _Break compatibility PCSX2 is completely different from Dolphin . So multi-theaded ...I'm too lazy to type Laptop: Mini PC :: 12-23-2012, 03:01 AM

Yep, you can increase your speed a little bit with the settings for best speed (link in my signature). Also try the official Dolphin 3.0 release for an extra speed boost.

I would be surprised if you didn't Laptop: Mini PC :: 12-23-2012, 03:14 AM
Ok I will try the Link in your signature thank you.
Anyway does DX11 have more speed then 9 like in most game or is this here different? On what I maybe also think is CUDA Support I heard a GPU is extremly strong so maybe there can be CUDA Support? Quote:CUDA SupportNo speed gain Quote:Generally, the better your processor is, the better your overall performance will be. Having a good video card is important for maintaining good speed with high graphic settings. With your current GPU , you can use 4xIR (2560x2112) , 2x or 4x MSAA , 16x AF without bottlenecking(slow down) the CPU Compatibility & Speed : Directx 9 backend > Dx11 > OpenGL Depending on the game , some games need Dx11 or OpenGL . Otherwise , you should stick with Dx9 Btw , Dx9 anti-aliasing SSAA is more demanding than Dx11 MSAA . Laptop: Mini PC :: 12-23-2012, 03:22 AM
