I have been trying for several hours now to get this stupid thing to work but no matter what I try it just won't recognize the wiimote. I have desynced it from the wii and have tried to re-sync it to the computer with no luck. I know I have the right Bluetooth adapter because it is the one from the Dolphin website. I might not have the right drivers for it. I just let it install the drivers automatically. If someone could please help I would really love it. I have a motion plus controller.
Bluetooth device not recognizing

The simplest thing to do is right click the Bluetooth icon in the bottom right corner in Windows, there is an option there called "Add device" before pressing that press buttons 1 and 2 on the Wiimote then click Add device, Windows will search for Bluetooth compatible devices. If Windows finds it it will show up as RVL-CNT-01, click next and chose Pair up without code.
If everything is as it should be you will be able to start using the Wiimote. However if Windows recognizes the Wiimote as a RVL-CNT-01-TR you're out of luck at the moment. 11-29-2011, 04:38 AM
That is the problem. It doesn't show anything. It never finds it. I have tried pushing the buttons before hitting add new device and after.

OK have you tried any other Bluetooth device you have so you can rule out the adapter?
Does it find anything else? 11-29-2011, 04:49 AM
I am not really into Bluetooth that much but so far I have tried my ps3 controller, my other wiimote controller, and this wiimote controller. So far I haven't got anything on it. It hasn't found anything.

That's strange, it could be that the Bluetooth adapter is defect and incapable finding anything.
I don't know what brand the Dolphin site uses and you're using but the one I have kinda blinks blue when something is connected and don't blink at all before I connected the Wiimote. Does that sounds familiar in your case, any led that blinks? 11-29-2011, 04:56 AM
I was reading the guide on the main page and it gave me a link to a bundle with a wireless sensor bar and a bluetooth adapter.

The adapter I use is similar to that, but I have a transparent shell with a led that shines blue and blinks.
That looks like a closed shell with no leds, which makes it harder to tell if it works or not. What happens when you plug it in the USB port, does Windows start to install drivers for it? That is at least a good sign that it should work. 11-29-2011, 05:04 AM
As soon as I plug it in it starts downloading drivers. Everything seems to work fine but it just doesn't see anything. I know how to put the devices in discovery mode but it just doesn't find anything. No errors or anything.

RVL-CNT-01 won't be showing in Add a device because it's already exist in your bluetooth device list. You can remove it and find it again in Add a device anytime.
