Blank plug-ins

i have a problem,i have everything downloaded and all, i have the directX march 2009 thing like ppl say for me to download, i dont have a ps3 or xbox or gamecube controller, i wanted to know if i can play with ONLY my keyboard? and i herd thet you can with sumthing called kb/xbox360 or whatever, but how do i get it? when i go under gamecube on plugins its blank. how do i get it to NOT be blank?

what revision. Like r6299 or something. Newer versions have the gcpad plugin integrated to core.

when i download the r6456, it downloads normally, but when i go to click Dolphin.exe, in the folder, it says "this application has failed to start because XINPUT1_3.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." What is this? is there a problem with me? does it just not like me T_T or do i have to extract or sumthing?
