I'm having the same issue with the PAL format of The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Opengl just crashes immediately after showing the black box where the emulation should be (no error message, just a crash), so I tried 3D9. My audio is playing, but I have no video. It could very well be my laptop, since it's old, there are supposedly no new drivers for my horrid graphics card (the last driver update was september 09), and it's... well, a laptop.

Anything? Sad

Many of the people report that they fixed the problem by changing the screen resolution. Some systems will work once the game starts and do not require you to reset the resolution every time you start the game. Most of the black screen problems are caused by video cards. Try to update you video card driver to the latest version and make sure it supports OpenGL 1.0 and above. You can also try to set your screen resolution to 1024x768 before you start the game. May be some of them are due to direct x but I think you should try to re install it proper by steps following.

U need MS Visual C++ Runtime 2008 SP1 too, not only DirectX. Is your operating system up to date? Are u using "Enable Dual Core" option? Some users have problem with the single core mode.

Good luck.

man, did you downloaded this -> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&DisplayLang=en ?
Have you downloaded that file? If not, stop saying that your directx is updated, because it isn't ok? if you have downloaded this, updated your directx -as I said before: don't matter your directx, I use the dx11 and I had to download this- so download this don't matter what you are thinking about your directx, but if you had downloaded this and the error continues sorry man.
hey, sorry if I am thinking wrong, but you said that the your Geforce driver is updated right? sorry if I am telling you something that you know, but the GeForce Driver and your directx update are different things, so, if you were thinking that as your GeForce driver is update it should run directx normally, I'm just saying this because I read that you wrote hat the GeForce driver is updated.
sorry if I'm just telling you something that you know ok?
I am just here again because I am running on my pc windows 7 x64, yes with directx 11 and with the GeForce drivers updated and I still had to update the directx, I mean, this isn't a update, it may be a change to the directx to run dolphin.
