Bug
I have extracted the files for SMG 2 to modify them and set up dolphin so I don't have to patch the iso every time I want to test them. The settings (in the paths tab under configuration) are as follows:
Default ISO: the boot.dol file for SMG2 (in the DVD root)
DVD Root: the root folder of the extracted files
Apploader: the apploader.img file for SMG2 (in the DVD root)
The emulator window stays black when I try to run it. How do I fix this?

is there a way I can move this to the support category? I didn't see it at the time of typing this.

The support for extracted discs in the version of Dolphin that you're using is very lackluster. Update to the latest development version, then re-extract the disc using that version (otherwise some files that are needed by the new and improved support for extracted discs will be missing). Once you want to launch the game, you'll just have to open the DOL file (DATA/sys/main.dol), without needing to set up the DVD Root or Apploader settings.
