Hey Guys,

I have two problems to discuss:

Main Problem:
1) I am currently helping out with the Save Nintendo WiFi project, and I have downloaded a modified version of Dolphin Emulator v4 built with SSL dumping to two files enabled for better logging. With this version of Dolphin, I have to load a game ~15 times before the game actually shows up. I have tried this with multiple CPU core options, and multiple games. It usually shows only a black screen, even after waiting a while. I did have success with using a Dolphin build from ~1 week ago, so I'm not sure why this would happen. This is the main problem I wanted help solving with this post, since I know my computer can handle Dolphin. As far as I know, it can't be a bad dump either.

2) There's also one more black screen problem I didn't see documented anywhere. When loading up a game, with multiple Dolphin versions, on a computer with an ATI Radeon card (This is probably a very old card), I am getting a black screen. I tried changing basically all of the Graphics options to no avail. The Nintendo 64 emulator however runs pretty well, normally ~60 FPS but sometimes averaging ~45. I know 95% that this is probably an old graphics card, but I figured I would include this with this post.

Thanks,

1: We can't support the SSL build because it's unofficial. We don't know what it's doing. You said a build from a week ago was working fine, so it's not an issue within the dolphin master branch.

2: At least list the hardware if you're going to ask a question about it please.

1. I figured as much, thanks though.

2. That's the problem though, we sort of assembled it from spare parts, so I'm not sure if the exact specifications. I will list what I remember it having:
- CPU: Intel Pentium 4
- Graphics: Radeon x300 (PCI)
- RAM: 1.75 GB

I know that the hardware is extremely underpowered for today's standards, I was just wondering if it was possible to run it on lowest settings with as many graphical effects such as Destination Alpha and EBF Copies disabled as possible.

Okay, I can at least work with that. A Pentium 4 will technically run Dolphin. To my knowledge. I believe the Radeon is too old to run it, unfortunately. you could probably run on software renderer + hardware rasterization, though? Maybe? And that'll let you at least get in game.

I hope this helps!

With an actual Dolphin build, I doubt it. Not even the most light game will run without some slowdowns. Also, disabling EFB copies causes a lot of issues in a lot of games. (Probably the reason of your black screen?).
