Black screen on any game using netplay

It all works fine solo but when ever I do net play it’s just a black screen dual cores are off all of our settings and files and nand are the same we tried 5.0 and the net build and nothing the game we are trying to play is Kirby’s return to dream land l. We have sat on the black screen for 10 mins total the only way to close is to go to task manager we are using emulated Wii remotes as our controller and have the same control settings and graphics settings. We have been trying things all day and to no avail.
