I've finally got back into my whole tearing a N64 rom out of a GCN game thing. (I can spare everyone that story.) It came to my shock that when I tried to load Animal Crossing in Dolphin, I saw the red Nintendo logo, but from after that and onwards is just a black screen. The music still plays, so I'm assuming that the game is still running. I have tried all of the graphics plugins that come packaged with the emulator and I still have no luck. My graphics card is nVidia, if that isn't something to cause a huge problem.

Is there a topic available that shows recommended settings so as to avoid said problem (and other problems)? Thanks in advance for any support that I can get! Big Grin

Try revision 5016.

Also we can't help you until we know your os, settings, specs, and what revision you're using.

Ahh. In that case, then, I was running Revision 6818. 5016 gives me the same problem, though. Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit (6.1, Built 7600) is what I have for my operating system. 3072 MB is for my ram. The settings that I'm using for the emulator are the default ones. I've tested this with a different file and it runs it without the black screen (even though accompanied by a slow frame-rate).

Update!

Upon closer inspection, the bottom row of pixels can be seen during emulation (seen in the left side of the image). I looked further into this and enabled wireframe mode (seen in the right side of the image) to find that the models can now be seen. This will still hinder a few things, so I continue to look for a fix for this. Here is said image:

As strange as it sounds, this is caused by the DSP. What are your dsp settings like? Tick all the boxes in either plugin and it should work fine.
p.s. - The options have to be enabled before boot, once it has booted, you can turn off those options if you really want.

With all DSP check-boxes checked or not, I still get this error.
