black screen in PoR

Hey, I just recently downloaded dolphin, and my friend gave me a disc with Fire Emblem, Path of Radiance on it. i now have them both on my laptop, but when ever i open PoR in dolphin, theres only a black screen, but i can still blindly pick stuff, and all the noises are there. can anyone tell me what i need to set or do or anything that can help me? greatly appreciated.
