You have to dump your own discs (unless you and your friend co-own the game, somehow). You should download the latest revisions, these can calculate the MD5 hash for a.game (Right-click the game in Dolphin -> Properties -> Info tab or something like that). You.can verify the hash on sites like GameTDB or Redump. If the hashes don't match (yours vs theirs) you have to dump the game again.
