Black bars in Super Mario Sunshine?

When playing Super Mario Sunshine, I have large black bars on both sides of my screen. I did everything dolphin's wiki told me to do. That is, I forced 16:9, enabled widescreen hack, enabled cheats, and entered the AR codes, as well as activate them. All of that, and nothing happened. The black bars didn't even get smaller, let alone go away. What can I do to fix it?

Maybe there's an ini setting that "overrules" all other settings.

Check the ini file for such settings.
More info on the settings here:

CPU: Intel 3570k with Corsair H60 watercooler @4.1ghz
GPU: Nvidia Asus GTX780 @1140/6600
PSU: Corsair 750W
RAM: Corsair 8gig DDR3-1600
MOBO: Asrock Z68m ITX
HDD: 500gb SSD EVO
CASE: Lian-Li PC-Q08 mini-ITX case
OS: Windows 7 x64

I use a fully configured emulator frontend (Maximus Arcade) to play every console & arcade game instantly

I checked through it, but I don't know what it could be. I deleted my config folder in order to reset my settings, but ended up with the same result.

That fixed it. Wish I had tried that earlier.
