With the Dolphin Emulator becoming better and better, and thus more able to play through games, shouldn't we work towards making it easier to find the correct data pertaining to those games? It shouldn't be so hard to find a save game file. All the Wii games are represented in the shared2 folder under Wii as a string of numbers. Can't we bring some text in? And while we're at it find a way to load in banners?
It should also be a bit easier to know which files to carry over from the old release to the next one.
Also... I'm all for new features and all, but I was really hoping Punch-Out would work. Not to mention that the opening to Gamecube Twilight Princess, while there are less graphical glitches for me, is still quiet as anything (I know music is tough). I would test the Wario Land Shake It! text glitch but I have to find my old savefile first. (Edit: Yep, still there. It's such a non-factor, but it is still an issue.)
Interesting to note is that BoomBlox used to read "BOOM BLOX?" and now reads "Steven Speilberg|Boom Blox" (except now that I opened the old emulator to check the spelling, it displays "BOOM BLOX?" in 3286. Bizarre. Still waiting for the ability to insert my own title
But I am always overly harsh. I am so glad Dolphin became such a lively emulator again and look forward to every new release. The only bad part is I have no excuse to not play the backlog of games I shrugged off since I could not find them. Damn you awesome Dolphin Team!!! Keep up the excellent work!!! (And fix Punch-Out God I want to play so bad!)
EDIT 2: DeBlob still gets a bunch of DVDLowSeek errors and the graphical issues with the video are still there, but in-game used to have a strange vertical line effects which are now gone! MadWorld still cannot get past the title... and my lonely old copy of Cubivore for the Gamecube is still bizarrely off-center by a tiny bit. Just reporting my findings!
