At this point in time, yes, this is the correct way.

Do the files have to be in the root of the virtual SD card or can they be in apps/<appname> folders? It would be best to have them in separate folders so that they are organized, but it seems that Dolphin will always want to find the files in the root of the virtual SD card.

It depends if the working directory of the app can be changed somehow. If a wii homebrew loader can be set up and load boot.dol from the apps directory, then yes, the files that the app is looking for can be in the apps directory.

Personally, I have not mucked around with the homebrew loading aspect of Dolphin as much and having the files loaded from the sd root was acceptable for me.

Thanks for the reply. I would have to change the file references in the source code to apps/<appname>. So, I'll just stick with everything being in the root of the virtual SD card for now. On second thought, I wonder if I opened the boot.dol from an /apps/<appname> folder if Dolphin would then use /apps/<appname> on the virtual SD card as the root folder for the app?
