Every video I have made has been done using Rptr in full 1080P 60fps so no AMD alternative is not bad.

Bitrate?
Video backend?
GVR settings?

It also helps that you have an insanely fast cpu

The Video backend I'm using is OpenGL.
I'm trying to record in 1080p or 720p at 60 frames per second.

My CPU is the Intel i5-4690k OC at 4.5GHz, I'm pretty much getting lag on any recording software I use.

Could it be my graphics card causing the stuttering? It's the R7 265, I don't think it should because it's a pretty good card and runs Dolphin perfectly when not recording.

Have you tried Fraps? It supports both D3D and OGL.

Bandicam is also a good one, but just like Fraps, requires you to cough up money to remove the watermarks.

I still want to know why the OP can't just use Dolphin's in-built dumping frames & audio options, especially as it would provide much nicer recordings and the game could be played in real-time using TAS then rendered later at stupidly high resolutions.

I get lag with Fraps also Sad

And I tried to use Dolphin's built in dumping, but I get a huge amount of slowdown and I have no idea how to use TAS to get fullspeed and record at the same time :/.

Go to movie then start recording input and your most recently played game should load up. Once you've finished, stop the emulation and save your TAS file. Then, check dump frames and dump audio and click on play input recording... and it should run away doing exactly what you did at 10-30fps, depending on your resolution (full screen option is handy for rendering - if you have Linux I'll tell you how to go above your max resolution). However, if your game saves then it will probably mess up, but that's okay because you can avoid this by using savestates as most games will only read the save file once then just overwrite the whole thing upon saving. On Ubuntu 15.04 it will be dumped at /home/USERNAME/.dolphin-emu/Dump. Not sure about on Windows and whatnot though. Tongue

@Amon

I was asking IceStrike, not you.

But you might want to give Rapt/GVR a try just to see if it works for you.

OpenEncode VFW:
https://github.com/jackun/openencodevfw
[uses the VCE (hardware accelerated), similar to Raptr but without the bloat]

BlueSky's Recorder / Video Converter:
http://bluesky23.yukishigure.com/en/
[also uses the VCE (hardware accelerated)]

Mirillis Action:
https://mirillis.com/en/products/products.html
[much better than FRAPS / Dxtory (very low overhead), but not free]
