Does anyone know what is the better smartphone to run the dolphin emulator?
Best smartphone to run dolphin

Anything with a top end, current gen Qualcomm SoC/processor.
And even then most games won't be full speed and audio will be messed up. If you're persistent, you can spend a bunch of time find hacky ways to get various games to run at full speed but it's not particularly enjoyable until you get to that point. I wouldn't recommend using Dolphin as the basis for buying your next phone. It's unlikely to get significantly faster anytime soon. 08-31-2018, 08:50 AM
Certainly in the long run, the "best" phone to buy for dolphin is the cheapest you can - so when the there are phones that can play dolphin well you've git the cash already sitting there.
Even the most expensive phone doesn't give a good experience on most games right now. If you happen to only play games that are easy to emulate, happen not to hit any driver bugs on that specific device and version, and don't use any features that aren't optimized for the arm64 build, then maybe. Until they release a new update that completely breaks everything (as the update for my nexus pixel has done - broken all vulkan use for dolphin 08-31-2018, 11:27 AM

I have a xiaomi mi6 (sd835 / adreno 540) I finished the zelda t.p. with only hyrule hack at 30 fps, I'm finishing the beyond good and evil (with clock speed) with a minimum of 30fps. I'm also playing Mario sunshine (video hack) for more than 10 hours without bugs that would allow me to continue. And the games that I have not gone to hack are the mario tennis, mario kart, mario striker, hulk, smashbros and metroid prime all at 30 or more fps. So if you ask me if it's worth buying a mobile device even if its drivers are a shit stuck on a stick and take a while to find the correct configuration ?, I answer of course yes, I bought it for this and the truth I'm very satisfied and I know it's a headache for the developers, that's why I'm so grateful to the few who are still fighting so we can enjoy these real games anytime, anywhere.

The best phone would be one with the Snapdragon 845 CPU. The cheapest is the Xiaomi Pocophone F1.

If it needs to be a (1) Qualcomm SoC, (2) affordable and (3) capable of dissipating its heat, the Nokia 8 is a good candidate. It actually has a heatpipe built into it, like Samsung does, but then without all the bloatware, like a phone should be.

Any phone with SD835 And above shoukd work fine with hacks.
But each game need specific setting to work fast. |
